Note to self: While at a bar, do not partake in heated discussions with American, 27-year-old nuclear physicists, especially if they have their PhD, fresh-off-the-press... That's enough ego to set off a nasty nuclear chain reaction.
Nuclear energy should be added to the list of "Unspeakables" at the dinner table, or bar alike, along with religion and politics. Everyone knows to avoid those topics at family dinner. But whether or not Nuclear reactors are good or bad.... I don't even know where to start. And the beer flowed. And the voices rose. And the words, "dumb" and "my dear" and "20" flew around the room. I AM NOT A DUMB 20-year old "DEAR," and especially not theirs. I also despise being referred to in the context of my gender, "Girls, come on..." "Ladies, listen to me..."
I'm so pissed off from last night's quarrel that I really don't feel like entering into the sciences ever again, just because I know I will be dealing with assholes of that sort frequently. Well, not going to waste my energy... HAR HAR...
