Quackers

"Unproductive" is a term that most conventional-style people would use to label the type of day I've been leading. I like to think I'm not completely lazy on my days off. They're just days of creative progressiveness and a bit of reconnecting with my own interests.

Today is sultry. The weather, I mean. It's so bright and hazy outside and I can feel the heat rising from the ground. I've never thought of wasting an egg on a sidewalk, but today might just be the day where I try that ol' experiment out.... we'll see. I had visions of making rosemary lemon ice cream though....that's saying quite a lot, as I don't really indulge into sweets much.

I decided to plant the lychee seed that had cracked open. There was no sprout yet, but it hasn't done much for a week or so, so I figured it was ready for some soil and real nutrients. I am working on sprouting more lettuce and papayas. I will NOT give up...yet. All but one of the lettuce sprouts have passed into plant-heaven, probably due to the heat. Well... summer is here.

Tea that Hanna E sent me for my birthday from Sweden, I've been saving it for the right month!

Brotzeit....

Tried the fresh portlock figs. Not too sweet, but still yummy

As I lazed in my sweltering room with a refreshing glass of iced tea from a tea-bag that I got from my friend in Sweden, I heard quacking sounds outside my window and saw mama duck with her 10-12 little quackers. It's amazing, because on June 12, 2010 I also saw a duck with a ton of chicks, and photographed them. Almost exactly 2 years later.... probably not a coincidence.
